Commissions

BASICS:

All commissions must be paid upfront before work will commence.

I offer 2 main types of commissions, personal and commercial.

The main distinction is that personal commissions are for personal use only and not to make any profit, such as personally meaningful illustrations displayed at your home or office, Portraits, D&D character profiles, Discord Avatars, etc.

Commercial commissions are for business use to be displayed in public spaces and intended for you to make a profit from, such as logos, merchandise prints, album covers, book covers, and so on.

I charge by the hour for my work.

A specific itemized estimate invoice will be provided to the commissioner, by me, the artist before any work on my end begins. 

If the commission doesn’t take as long as estimated, any excess funds will be refunded to the customer.

Consent and approval from both parties is required before the commencement of work. 

Work will begin only once the contract is signed and the payment is received in full. 

PRICES:

I charge $50 for the first hour regardless of the type of commission.

My rate is $25 an hour for personal commissions.

My rate is $75 an hour for commercial commissions.

All commissions must be paid in full upfront. You have the option to pay me digitally via CashApp, Venmo, GPay, or Paypal. Please visit my Payments page. I do accept cash but only if you are located near me.

I do not accept checks of any kind and will not entertain any attempt to pay me via check. 

Do not send any payment until the contract has been agreed on by both parties. If you do, I will consider it a donation.

All of my commission requests are run through a standard Google form. Please utilize this Google form for both of our benefits:

CANCELLATIONS:

The commissioner has the right to cancel the artwork at any time. Cancellations are free before any work begins.

Once a commission has commenced the cancellation fee is $100. The commission work will be immediately halted and the rest of the commission price minus the initial hour fee and cancellation fee will be refunded.

LIMITS:

The artist has the right to refuse any commission request, without needing to explain the reason.

However, I will usually explain the reason for the decline out of courtesy.

I will not create artwork that is racist, sexist, hateful, abusive, or demeans any ethnicity, sexuality, or religious group. 

I am fine with creating certain sexual, political, and violent art.

EXAMPLES:

You have the option of 4 levels of finish:

1. Sketch and Thumbnails (Loose & rough ideation).

2. Defined Drawing (Clearer than a sketch but not fully cleaned up)

3. Refined Drawing (Clean & clear linework, can include shadows & lighting)

4. Full Finish (Clean & clear linework, lighting, shadows, color, texture, & highlights).
