Sanctuary Art Print (Graduation Edition)

$60.00

This is an art print of my piece Sanctuary.

It's reminiscent of a powerful and profound psychedelic trip in San Diego. Depicting the power of good music and faith in the world and in spirituality.

The troubles of the modern world are symbolized by the Wendigo.

A cryptid monster that looms over our main character here.

Wendigos are part of the Algonquin mythology about a former man transformed into an insatiable man-eating beast by the act of cannibalism.

His metamorphosis into a monster is brought about by his treason toward his species.

The Wendigo symbolizes the Colonizer's virus known as Wetiko.

Which is the biggest social issue facing humanity today.

Wetiko is essentially the fundamental belief that instead of being creative the best way to achieve prosperity is to fuck other people over. It is the mindset of vampires and cannibals.

The character lounging in the grass is just a young human in the midst of contemplating life and witnessing a spiritual city above the physical city while blasted on drugs at Balboa Park in San Diego. He sees the huge looming Wendigo creeping on him, malicious intent bursting at the seams. Our man here comes outfitted with a boombox pumping out the dopest hip-hop music ever created, our man here is unconcerned with the malice of the beast. Our young hero is protected by the knowledge and wisdom present in true hip-hop. It ignites and unifies his chakras, activating his Merkaba. The Merkaba is a spiritual chariot and shield that allows our hero here to travel through dimensions without being harmed. The Wendigo can not pierce the Merkaba no matter what he tries.

Our man is not afraid of Wetiko because he is protected, and he is protected because he is not afraid. That's what Sanctuary is all about.
